Water Corporation engaged GO for the design and construction of the Hedland South Fluoridation Plant and Water Supply Upgrade involving 4 separable packages in Brownfields sites. Work included a Fluorosilicic Acid (FSA) storage and dosing facility in a prefabricated modular building, switchboards, flowmeters, gate valves, dosing and sampling lines, pitometer tapping points and electrical and communications conduits. GO constructed concrete aprons and slabs, a waste holding tank, pipework, a valve pit, a soak well, infiltration bed and undertook gate modifications. The project also included roadworks, security fencing, concrete footpaths and gravel to the surrounds of buildings. The GO design included modifications minimising impact to the switchboard operators and ensuring ongoing water supplies throughout.
