Established in 2001, Guidera O’Connor (GO) is a privately owned and respected design and construct contractor and have a successful track record delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to the Australian Water Industry. Our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water and SEQ Water. 

Our Opportunity:

Due to growth, we are seeking expressions of interest from Electrical Project Engineers who seek meaningful work in the water and wastewater industry.   As the Project Engineer - Electrical, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager to deliver the project in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with contract documentation with a focus on the electrical components of the project. The role includes a combination of electrical design work, procurement, site management, testing and commissioning, and completion of documentation.

More specifically you will:

• Assist the Project Manager to deliver projects in a safe and environmentally sound manner
• Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with contract and legislative requirements
• Carry out electrical design activities for the project as required
• Complete all project related electrical activities in a timely manner
• Procure electrical equipment at competitive prices to meet project requirements
• Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of all project documentation
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with all stakeholders
• Maintain and manage Quality Assurance requirements throughout the project

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Experience as a Project Engineer specifically in the water and wastewater industry
• A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Strong knowledge of the construction industry coupled with highly developed engineering skills
• An ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines 
• An ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
