About Us:
Established in 2001, Guidera O’Connor (GO) is a privately owned and respected design and construct contractor and have a successful track record delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to the Australian Water Industry. Our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water and SEQ Water. 

Our Opportunity:
As the Project Controls Analyst for GO, you would play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specified Company quality standards. Their primary responsibilities revolve around tracking and analysing project performance, integrating data from various source material, and providing essential reports and trend analysis to project managers, executives and other key stakeholders within the Company.

More specifically the Project Controls Analyst is responsible for:

  • Managing the integration of multiple projects and ensuring that all project management controls are effectively implemented
  • Providing support for project control functions, including schedule, cost, risk and change reporting
  • Integrating data from numerous programs and projects to provide comprehensive information and reporting
  • Conducting trend analysis, and other assessments to support project managers and management in decision-making
  • Assisting in cost and revenue forecasts to provide periodic status reports for departments, divisions, and executives
  • Supporting project managers to manage changes and conduct variance analysis to ensure project objectives are met
  • Systematically gather, analyse, and communicate key information related to project schedule, cost, change, and risk performance using
  • business intelligence and analytics tools

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Competency in business, finance, project management, or a related field, or relevant experience in an administrative function in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends and problem-solve. A willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively within a project team, with strong communication and organisational skills
