About Us:
Established in 2001, Guidera O’Connor (GO) is a privately owned and respected design and construct contractor and have a successful track record delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to the Australian Water Industry. Our clients include SA Water, Water Corporation, Sydney Water and SEQ Water. 

Our Opportunity:
GO have an exciting new opportunity experienced multi-disciplinary Lead Estimator. This role will suit a highly motivated individual with a background in estimation, project management or engineering gained within the construction industry. Essential to your success in this role is adaptability and a solutions-focused approach to produce and lead winning bids.
If you are sick and tired of constant travel, then this could be the role for you. 

More specifically our Lead Estimator is responsible for:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Assist in the development of accurate project schedules using supply chain information
  • Coordinate bid designs for the design and construct tenders.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or substantial experience a similar role in the construction industry, preferably the water industry. 
  • Proven experience managing large-scale multi-disciplinary estimates in a complex, deadline-driven environment, preferably in the construction industry.  
  • Strong numerical and engineering / technical knowledge, specifically in the water industry. 
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities.  
  • An ability to think strategically with a deadline-driven mindset with a commitment to quality.
